Brual is a local-first iPhone app for adults who want to remember lawful drink discoveries while traveling. This policy explains what stays on your device, the limited product analytics Brual sends, what may be shared with Apple or support, and how to contact us.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Brual iOS app and the Brual website. Brual is intended only for users who are legally allowed to view and record alcohol-related content in their location.
You may choose to save:
Brual is designed so your core entries are stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage. We do not require you to create an account to use the core app. If you delete entries or delete the app, locally stored app data may be removed from that device, subject to iOS backups and your Apple settings.
Brual sends limited product-usage events to a first-party analytics database hosted by Supabase so we can understand whether features work and where the app needs improvement. An event can include a random app-generated cohort identifier, event name and time, app version, the feature or screen used, coarse count or timing buckets, success or failure status, and a product identifier for a purchase flow.
These analytics events do not include your beer names, brewery or venue names, notes, photos, precise coordinates, search text, or Apple Account identity. Supabase and network providers may process standard connection information such as an IP address to deliver and protect the service. We do not use product analytics for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Brual asks for photo, camera, or location access only when a feature needs it. Photos are used to attach images to entries or create story cards. Location is used to help save the place connected with a memory. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Paid features, subscriptions, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account. Brual does not receive your full payment card number. Apple may provide purchase status, transaction identifiers, region, and similar information required to operate purchases and subscriptions.
If you email us for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, screenshots, device details, purchase issue details, and your message. We use support information only to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain Brual.
When you visit this website, hosting providers may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, timestamps, and security logs. We use this information to keep the site available, secure, and reliable.
Brual does not use your app entries to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Brual does not sell your personal information and does not use your drink logs for third-party advertising.
Brual lets you export story cards, trip recaps, a Brual archive, or a CSV spreadsheet, and share content using iOS sharing tools. When you share outside Brual, the privacy practices of the destination app, service, or person control what happens next.
Brual is not directed to children or to anyone below the legal drinking age in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us or provided personal information, email us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
